Friendship Place

The Community Council for the Homeless at Friendship Place helps homeless women and men in upper Northwest Washington, D.C., to rebuild their lives with the involvement of the community. We are the only organization in our area that provides a full continuum of services to our homeless neighbors — street outreach, hospitality, free medical and psychiatric care, case management, transitional shelter and permanent housing. More than 300 volunteers contribute to our work at every level of the organization, and 22 congregations are represented on our board.
